review 1: I tend to enjoy story of more experienced men saving younger guys in trouble so this book was perfect for me. Noah was the typical older guy that hasn't been in a relationship or gotten laid in a long time but is always helping others out. Jeremy the bright kid with a lot going for him but is in a bad situation. The one thing that is a little different is Jeremy is a hustler and although he has been living on the streets and is being chased by the "bad guys" he isn't jaded nor is he a naive kid either. He has a mixure of enthusiams tempered with a more serious outlook on his future. He is determined to make it through school and go to college avoiding drugs and being a hustler.Noah makes an interesting counterpoint to Jeremy since in a lot of ways he was Jeremy except... more he ended up being pulled into the life with the same trick that was used on Jeremy. His relationship with Billy set up in various flashbacks was sad especially when he ended up having to deal with Willie. I enjoyed this book a lot and look forward to others in the series.
review 2: I'm having a hard time stop crying. I usually don't like hustler books all that much, the gruesome voilent ones I find okey but I don't like the ones that glorifys the life. This one hit me right in the heart. I wanted to hate Billy but I couldn't, he was so lost. So many ruined lives, so much pain. The story was about Noah and Jeremy but the sorrow was all for Billy and that's a bit twisted since he really was a bad guy. I feel a little riuned, what will I read now to make everything okey? less
