review 1: I was really looking forward to Paris after finding London and New York to be great reads. While Paris is a good read it wasn't as good as the others. Without a linear structure I found I had to keep returning to the family tree info to place the characters - which was a little bit annoying. I cannot believe Paris' history is less interesting than that of London or New York, but Edward Rutherfurd makes it seem so.
