review 1: Well over 50 different stories of the varied traumas and high jinks these women encountered during the bridal process. Some are funny, some sad, some outrageous and some tender but all are memorable and make me happy I am a man ( although several stories are told be bridesmen). One of my faves was when at the bachelorette party all the heterosexual bridesmaids and bride start making out with each other to the shock of the one that is telling the story. I wouldn't have minded being a fly on the wall. Light frivolous reading fun.
review 2: This was kind of disappointing. I've been a bridesmaid/Matron of honor/House party in 7 weddings and my husband has been groomsmen almost that many times. We pride ourselves on being prepared for everything with bottled water
... morefor the whole wedding party (especially during the interminable photo sessions in the sun after the wedding), mints, pins, eye drops, asprin, sewing kit, tissues, sun block (a bunch of balding pates in the hot sun). Yes, I've spent a lot of money on dresses, but the brides were never actively mean in their choices for us. More the bride wanted the dresses to fit the image of the wedding. I've never been asked to arrange a bachelorette party, probably because I have No Interest in going out, spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on a drunken free-for-all in Vegas, or some destination. I've even worn 2 of those dresses a 2nd time. Some of these anecdotes were amusing, touching, or left me teary eyed. Others left me appalled either at the presumption of the brides to be all powerful or at the bridesmaids themselves for their attitude that they had to hook up or get falling-down drunk in order to get through the experience. less

Cute stories that read like blog posts, but nothing immensely captivating.
