review 1: Really sweet quick read, most of the book was an excerpt of another book, which I will probably never read but thought sounded quite good. I really like these short novels at the moment, simply because they are great quick reads and when you're constantly on the move and travelling like me, its nice to find these nice little characters that make the train or the car seem a little lighter, especially when you need a break from great books such as 1984, which is brilliant but the story line and message are so heavy its taking me a while. But this was my escape for a few hours from the world of Orwell. But yeah, a cute story, just a bit too short of a short read!
review 2: This felt a wee bit disjointed, not sure I could tell you now what the point of the story wa... mores or what it was supposed to be about. I would've liked to have seen a bit more build up to the closing stages and the overall message of Christmas time. I do, however really like this writer, and enjoyed reading the first bit of her new novel which I will seriously think about reading soon! Download for the sample pages alone! less
