review 1: A story of a broken friendship that comes back to haunt Olivia when her former best friend from college, Sally, is violently killed in a terrible car crash. Exploring their past and looking into who Sally had become, stirs up long repressed emotions in Olivia, especially when she discovers that Sally's young daughter was given Olivia as her middle name. In finding out about Sally, Olivia gets a new look into herself, uncovering the mystery of who Sally really was.
review 2: I am still not sure what I felt exactly about this book. Areas of it are excellent; very gripping and hard to put down and then other areas are not good. I also felt that aspects of the plot that were skimmed over would have been better if they were padded out more as they had the potential... more to be quite good. The basic aspect of the plot was very good and the scenes featuring how people cope with their grief and in particular the daughter were excellently done. I do think that some of the characters were annoying, Sally and James in particular and I did not enjoy reading their parts. Overall this was a very light and easy read that was mostly enjoyable but for me there was nothing outstanding about this. less
