review 1: Browsing through the reviews here, it looks like a lot of people take major issue with the central relationship portrayed in this slim book. That's fair, I suppose, and I am certainly not advocating engaging in this sort of thing (no details to avoid spoilers). But I do think that the book is a really gorgeously written and profound story, and if, like me, you can overlook the "ick factor" (phrase used in other reviews) of that relationship and appreciate it for what it is, I think it's a really enjoyable read. Just my two cents.
review 2: In the heart, love is love. Between a man and a woman, between a woman and woman...between two cousins. In the mind, depending on the culture you were raised in, love may not be as inclusive. This little story is about that g... moreap between heart love and head love and leaves readers (as you can see by the varied reviews) with more questions than answers. In my heart, thats growth. It's what great writers do. They open our hearts and challenge our minds. Well done, Ms. Hand. less
