review 1: I was searching around for a new book and happened to stumble upon this. I had no idea what this book was about when I first started it. I am pleased to report that it was amazing! I love how the story is told from two viewpoints. You get to hear Tim's story in is own words. I was easy to picture yourself in the settings and in the shoes of the characters. I love how they were portrayed. Being albino means more than just no pigment and white hair. There is so much you can take from this book. I've learned a lot from Tim's story, as well as Duncan's. I found my self wanting to hear Tim's story so bad. They hint towards certain things, but you never fully understand until the end. I don't think that I would have been able to guess everything that happened. I teaches you so mu... morech and I feel stronger after reading this. It helped me, as well as Duncan realize that some things are out of your reach. You have to let go of the bad and embrace what is good.
review 2: It had a unique and gripping plot that was struck with tragedy and a story that is all together emotional. It was a book I will never forget, for it is one of the rare pieces you come across that affect you so deeply and ultimately change your life.I love how the title of the book was intertwined within the novel; it is an essay in which the seniors have to write about what event they consider tragic. Throughout out the book you wonder what Tim's paper will be about, and then you are left wondering if he will write one at all. This book starts your journey through both Duncan and Tim's life and it is one you will always remember. less
