review 1: I had high hopes for this book because I love 'Jane Eyre' so much and I was a little disappointed. Newark took the themes from 'Jane Eyre' and just inserted them into the life of Jane and Rochester's daughter....there really wasn't any originality. There was also a lot of time that passed with little growth to the story. Everything seemed to come together at the end but it was very predictable.
