review 1: This was a fabulous and wonderful story that is definitely worth reading. This is the story about a tragedy that shows you who your real friends are and what really matters in life. Jason Bradley was the Football God of his high school and town. He was gorgeous, had real talent, and way popular. It appeared he had it all until the day the school's beloved football coach is found dead and Jason was found standing over his body. Everyone turned on Jason without a backward look, the coach was beloved by so many people that they all turned on him. People that were supposed to be his "friends", his own girlfriend, and his teammates didn't try to question him they just believed what they thought they knew. Katy is the heroine of this story to me. She admits to not being perfect ... moreand making mistakes but she wants to be friends with Jason and not turn her back on him. It is so easy to turn your back on people or stay silent to not cause waves. Katy shows so much bravery and strength through this whole book. She also kept right on asking questions and trying to find out the truth and wouldn't let anyone stop her. She is pushed out of her comfort zone many times but she lets it help her grow. Jason is a hero in his own right. This situation opened his eyes and he becomes so much more than what he was. Some people will grow and become better in tragedies and some just let it destroy them. He realizes what and who is important to him. He grows up from being a boy to becoming a great man. This story will open up your eyes and see the good in people and the bad in people. It is so worth reading.
review 2: I heart this book. The story was so well written, and the plot, amazing, I kind of understood what was going to happen from the begining (I mean, it's something that happens a lot, wish it didn't cause its so heartbreaking but that's real life), though that didn't change my feelings towards the book, it was very well done. Jason and Katy were two wonderful characters who had to grow as a result of a horrible experience.I recommend this book to the ones who are looking for a heartbreaking story about looking for the truth and staying loyal even when the odds aren't in our favor.Happy next reading everyone!XOX less
