A Books by the Bay Mystery
review 1: From the beginning, I did not like this book. I have never read this author, so thought I would give her a fair chance but...I liked the combination of writing club and dog. I did NOT like the main character, Olivia. She comes across as a rich *itch who is very arrogant. The book starts off with the promise of something strange in her life, being left adrift in a life boat by her father, who she never sees again. Supposedly there is something strange too, about the lighthouse cottage she used to live in, but we never hear what it was. She remodels it for the writers group, and that is that. It says on the cover that it is book #1. I don't think I will be reading book #2.
review 2: My second cozy mystery. Look at me, I have read 2 :D This one I liked a
... morebit more, but that was cos in this one the main character was not accused of murder. That just makes me sad.We had a more mature main character...what ok so was 40 but I am used to reading about much younger ones. She was sure of her self, she loved her dog and she wanted to find out who the killer was. Still this did not make her TSTL. She was careful after all and talked to the cops a lot.I hoped for a bit of romance and yes there is something there in the shadows but I do wonder....The mystery was good cos even in the end I was all "...what? Aha...ok I get it."A nice cozy mystery less
