review 1: An eccentric inventor, sad over the loss of his son, gives a young woman a job as housekeeper and she discovers his time machine. Pretending to be the betrothed of the Lord of the castle, she falls for the falconer's son. An interesing mix of history as the book is placed in two setting: before WWI and the middle ages. The ending is an interesting twist as she and the inventor get to be with who and what they love.
review 2: Okay, I give the author props for writing abour such a difficult subject: time travel. Not all can handle such themes correctly and this one definitely didn't work out so good. The idea was interesting enough but I ended up skimming the last 200 pgs. The ending was rushed, I didn't like any of the characters and the writing was mediocre at
... morebest. I felt that many of the problems was due to plotholes and historical inaccuracy. Everything seems so unlikely even back then and I can tell the author's done her research; just not enough. There was so much potential to this book and it just fell flat. less
