review 1: This book has a soft, dream-like feel and overall tone. It feels like a magical trance. This is partly due to the whimsical illustrations with a soft, muted color scheme and partly due to the rhyming scheme and lyrical cadence of the text. The watercolor illustrations and soft pastel pallet add to this dream-like state. It capitalizes on the imagination and a world where dreams take flight and magic comes to life in broad daylight. There is no surface, corner, drop, or character that is un-enhanced with this almost doe-eyed magic.I really liked this book. I thought it was soft, and sugary but there seemed to be something that was almost too sweet. I can’t quite place my finger on it but it felt too perfect for my taste.
review 2: Who cares what adults say abo
... moreut there being no dragons or unicorns? In this book written in rhyming text, children are encouraged to let their daydreams thrive as they imagine creatures flying through the sky, underneath a pond's surface or even in a museum. Even a book or raindrops can provide material for imagination and creativity as the text and softly-colored illustrations show. This picture book might be perfect for sharing before an art or writing lesson to encourage students to use their imagination and not be constrained by what others think, say, or do. less

A bit precious for my tastes, but would work nicely for a unit on imagination or dragons.
