review 2: A beautifully-written and atmospheric ghost story with thrills and chills, but with a cast of wonderfully warm and believable characters too. I was a big fan of Frances Hodgson Burnett as a child, so I particularly loved the setting at the grand Frost Hollow Hall and all the period detail. Alt... morehough it's a ghost story the intelligent way in which the main character, Tilly, deals with the supernatural happenings make it more thrilling than terrifying. A fabulous book. I can't wait to see what Emma Carroll comes up with next. less
