review 1: 4.5 stars. We get a glimpse into Abbi's personal demons in The Love Game. This is her story and her happy ending. After surviving her suicide attempt, she feels that a total a change in her appearance and life can make everyday a little easier. Julliard is her dream and she's the only one in charge of her goal. That is, until Blake walks into her dance class.Blake moves to New York from England because of a promise he made his elder sister. Walking into that dance class and seeing Abbi for the first time sparked something in him. He seeing something in her eyes that he's seen before, leaves him wanting to know her. Being paired together to perform a dance is unexpected, but yet they feel some sort of connection. They each hold the key to the others future and seeing them ... moreovercome their past issues is amazing. Emma did such an amazing job at giving Abbi her chance to find love and happiness again and I couldn't be happier with the result.
review 2: This fragile girl Abbi was learning to heal. She had a light that shone through her - a dream - to dance. It was the only thing that saved her soul. Otherwise the darkness of her past would have consumed her. After starting to dance again she connects with Blake. Blake also has a darkness from his past that consumes him. He is like the black sheep from his family. He also wants to be a dancer. Abbli and Blake meet in a dance class and they are assigned to work together on their own chorography. Blake teaches Abbi to trust and love again and both of them work out their demons together.This is the third book in the Game series. You learn about Abbi and her troubles with her previous relationship with Pearce in the stories in book 1 and book 2 but you get a real look inside her head in this story. When you think of the hurt she went through to love someone who only hurt her it breaks your heart.I read this as an ebook book on my way back from OceanCity Maryland - ahhh my beach vacation. I want to go back already. less
