review 1: Unique and fascinating.I found Witchblood on BookBub and was instantly intrigued, I love vampire books but most of the ones I read are set in the US so the fact that this was set in Britain was unusual and Manchester even more so.Jess is attacked one night in Manchester after leaving a nightclub and left for dead she's saved by the hot guy she'd been talking to inside but the only way he can save her is to change her and so Jess dies and is reborn a vampire but there's something different about Jess, for one thing she's struggling to let go of her past, her boyfriend Luke in particular and why when all she should want is blood does she crave toast. This was a unique and addictive read I was hooked after the first couple of pages, why didn't I give 5 stars well I have to adm... moreit Jess annoyed me a bit at times and seemed a little childish, I know she's only seventeen when turned and has been through so much but I felt I had to explain why I gave 4 stars.
review 2: "Witch Blood" is the first book in the series. Emma pens her plot in an intriguing way with the twist at the end. Her characters are well developed and interesting in this paranormal romance. This was one book that I had a hard time putting down and wanted the next in the series right away. This review is based on a complimentary copy from the author which was provided for an honest review. less
