review 1: 'WitchLove' is the third installment in the young adult paranormal romance series that continues to follow Jessica - "Jess" - as she continues to deal with the highs and lows of being a vampire and a witch. In this book, Jess is faced with the reappearance of an old love and she decides to run away to her family's coven to try and harness her powers and gain more independence. While in the United States, Jess will have to attempt to mend her broken heart and to forgive those that have hurt her in the past. This was a fun and exciting third book in a unique young adult paranormal series. Jess continues to be your typical teenage girl - she's stubborn and demands to get her way, but we see her character changing with the growing responsibilities her powers have given her and ... morethe damage of a broken heart. None of the aspects of the plot or the concepts are new, but the mixture is truly interesting. This series continues to surprise me with its plot twists and the mix of paranormal aspects and creatures, and it still proves to be an interesting ride with an enjoyable plot and fun characters. Recommended for fans of YA paranormal fiction! Disclosure: I received a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
review 2: 3 1/2 stars.... I'd like to thank the tour company and the author for providing me a copy of all three books in exchange for an honest review. I have to say, this was a much better book than the second book. It was a much smoother transition from book two to book three, compared to the transition between books one and two.The one part I found the most interesting was the places where the characters were....Malden, Massachussetts (literally next door to the town I live in now), and outside of New Orleans, Louisiana (where I was born and raised). The story line itself leaves a little to be desired, but it was enough to keep me going through the story. The cliffhanger at the end of the second book was resolved in a rather expected way, so I was kind of disappointed in that.Overall, though, it was enough of a suspenseful book to keep me going through to the last page. less
