review 1: I liked this book, but I will admit it wasn't one of my favorite books. One thing that I found myself doing was waiting for something to happen. That feeling never went away while reading this book. Even with that i found this book to be very enjoyable. At the beginning of the book I really didn't care for it. But after giving it some time I found myself to really enjoy this book. Some of characters were very interesting and helped me enjoy this book even more.
review 2: After a terrible plague sweeps England, the survivors live in a London ruled by gangs. The main character is a 15 year old boy who's mother is a healer. After seeing something strange, they call the "giant", he begins to understand the delicate balance between rival gangs maintained by his moth
... moreer to keep him safe and the terrible things that may be going on under the ground that may involve his long lost father. I liked the way it unfolded for the character and the introduction of some new people but it may be a bit slow for some as there is character development and new relationships being set up. There is definately a set up for a sequel even though they solve the mystery of the virus and the 'Unders" in this book. (d- and h- used a handful of times by one character, suggestions that females are being raped, fights where people are killed) for 14 and up less
