review 1: Wow, this book was amazing! I cannot wait for the last book now. This book had everything you could possibly want and more. It was one of those books that left you on the edge of a seat, it was shrouded in mystery, and left me wondering who the traitor of the novel really was. For most of the time, I was like "Is it him?" and then "or maybe it's him", there was so many potential traitors that I kept flicking back and forth to random characters, it made me question every character in the book, which is quite an achievement for an author to do. It was a perfect balance of mystery, action and heartbreak, I never wanted the book to end.Emma Raveling is a superb writer and I loved the way she brought the characters to life. Finally Tristan and Kendra show their true feelings fo... morer one another! Their scenes were so beautiful together, it was so captivating. It was really a roller coaster of emotions and I have to point out that Ewan was such a charming character, that I wish we had heard more ofThis book was completely awesome, and that cliffhanger has left me in pain, I want to know who the shadow is! I'll probably become bald before I get to read the next book. I have my suspicions of who it is, there's one person who I deem to be a bit shady, but I'll not mention it, just in case lol Overalls 5**** /5
review 2: I haven't read a really good book in a while like Half-Blood series or Vampire Academy Series or (Heartbeats Over Time) The LUX Series, But the Ondine Series is one of the few series to make it on my "I Read Every Last Word and Fell Hopelessly in Love" book list. First off Kendra is a BadA$$. Yea she complains about certain things but Hell with all the crap that keeps coming her way she deserves to have a Bit** moment every now and then. But she is a friggin awesome character!! Tristan....OMGGGGGGGGGGZZZZZZZZzz I love the Mr. Darcys of this century like I really do. Complicated, intense, loyal, fierce as all Hell and a complete and utter bada$$. Julian...Love his character and I love the author for not making this a love triangle!!!! (Twilight made me wanna rip a few throats out) But his mannerisms make him an awesome character to read. This book is full of all kinds of emotions but worth the read if not a couple of rereads. less
