review 1: Fashion-minded Veronica Walsh gets a summer job at the Clothing Bonanza. It is her dream job as she gets to spend her days alone, sorting old, vintage clothes. But when two crazy fellow girl employees befriend her, her time alone is put to a halt. The girls urge Veronica to spy on the awkward and mysterious stock boy, and in hopes of gaining some friends, Veronica agrees. Suddenly, what started out as a prank turns into something serious, and Veronica must decide if she will come out of hiding and do something she's never done before...follow her heart.I really liked the premise of this book. Some emotional elements didn't quite connect, and the ending was a little too unfinished. There was too much unnecessary language which deterred from the interesting ... moreplot.
review 2: I LOVED this book! I've read it over and over at least 4 times this week already. The odd thing was I had picked this book up before and only read one chapter and turned it back in. I didn't realize that until I was on the second chapter this time go around. I'm glad I picked it up again without realizing int! The characters are so realistic. Not perfect, not too theatrical And I love theater! I loved Len from the first description. I felt like Veronica is that girl we all feel like even if you are confident. I related to her a lot even though I don't look like her physically. Which is the beuatiful thing about this book. It's not a oh I'm the poor overweight girl. She's more than that. She's more than her number on the scale and a lot of teen books that deal with weight don't get that. Her fascination with clothes made me feel like she's my best friend. I want that job! I wouldn't want to deal with her mom and the Florons, but hey, that's ok. lol! Read this book! I don't write too many reviews, I'm trying to write more, but I just HAD to review this book. LOVED it! If you only read one teen book this year, let this be the book. :)I really hope the author makes a sequel to this. I want to know more about Veronica and Len! less

I loved the cover art of the book. I loved the title. I disliked the book--too crude for me.

The flow of the book is the pretty slow and the main character is exceptionally self obssess

An enjoyable novel with a cast of quirky characters--and a bonus blue-tongued skink!
