review 1: This is a very compelling story. I have read several books by Erica Spindler recently and have mostly been able to guess who the villain was fairly early. Reading this book, however, I did predict several of the plot conclusions but suspected the culprit early and dismissed the person. I really thought that someone who turned out to be a victim in the story was somehow involved in a crime from years earlier. I really like books that keep me guessing until the end. I have been careful in this review not to use gender related pronouns, in an effort not to give away anything related to the ending.
review 2: This book was centered in the California wine country. A young lady(Alexandra Clarkson) has never known anything about her family except her mother. When her
... more mother commits suicide, Alexandra decides to chase down the dreams and visions she has been having and try to find her father. She is not welcomed and is told to go home, but she rents a cabin and decides to stay but a serious of potentially related crimes begin to occur and Alex finds herself as the suspect even though she is as surprised, amazed and traumatized as everyone else around her, even to the point of considering that maybe, subconsciously, she is guilty! She finally confronts her demons and solves the mysteries surrounding her. I apologize for this horrible review!!! This was a much better book than I am making it sound and I can't wait to start another book by Erica Spindler!! less
