review 1: ***4.5 STARS***This book is just what I needed! I am a HUGE fan of Erin Noelle! I absolutely love her all her books! This book was awesome and nothing like I’ve read before and I loved the storyline. This book is told on 2 POV’S. You have Trina the recluse, music teacher who doesn’t date or interact at all with people. She is very content with her boring life till a handsome new teacher named Lucca starts working at her school. Trina hides her feelings best as possible because she holds on to her past which was horrific for her. Turning her emotions off, she tries and avoid Lucca as much as possible.Lucca Ellis is starting his first day at his job when out of nowhere a door swings open and hits him in his face. Looking down to see what caused his bloody nose he is tak... moreen back by a beautiful women in front of him. Not being shy and forward he pursues Trina in friendly gestures and flirting and finely gets her to loosen up and agree to go on a date with him. After Trina spends some time with Lucca she sees how much she is missing in her life and enjoys spending time with him as much as he does with her. Then there is Kat the confident Seductress who gets what she wants and is a man-eater. She is out for revenge and will stop at nothing to get it. She can be very dirty and boy she is a very good at getting her revenge! Then last there is Leo. He is a very sexy, kinky man and he loves Kat unconditionally. At times I felt sorry for him. I know he always takes care of Kat but there were times I would get so pissed at her. Let’s just say his and Kats relationship is different. As the 2 stories unfold you think what is going to happen? Its 2 different stories being told but you’re so invested in both. Then they collide, and I was glued to my kindle. I was so caught up in the story and was eager to see how it was all going to play out. This story was brilliant and I loved all the twists. Like I said, it was just what I needed!
review 2: Holy crap, where to start ... this was a completely unexpected book. From the synopsis, it sounded sexy and something screamed, "sign up for this one!" Man am I glad that I did. When the Sun Goes Down was sultry, sexy, snarky, sad at times and absolutely fun to read. Trina is an elementary school music teacher, she is a recluse who keeps the world at arms length ... during the day. At night, Trina turns into Kat, a sultry, sexy, ambitious woman with a dominant confidence about her that grabs men by the balls and makes them her bitch. Literally! No, really, that's basically what the story is about. Okay, not all of the story but a big chunk of the beginning is Trina dolling herself up, settling into her weekly routine of specific colored outfits on specific days of the week, finding a guy at a place of her choosing and making him beg her to give him the release he seeks. Why does she doe this? Well she's got a vendetta against all man kind to settle and she does just that one man at a time. She's assisted in this by long time friend, lover and a bodyguard of sorts, Leo, who has been taking care of Miss Kat in more ways then one since she was 14 years old. In walks Lucca Ellis. The newest 2nd Grade Teacher at the Brooklyn Elementary where Trina teaches. How do they meet, well by smashing his face in accidentally with a door. The rest as they say is history right?! Wrong! Trina and Lucca both have pasts they'd rather not share with the other but Lucca feels this need deep in his bones to protect Trina from the world. Trina has been working to get back at her father since he killed her mother right in front of her eyes when she was 14. She vowed in front of a packed court house that she'd kill him one day and ever since she's been on the war path to do just that, bringing one man a night to his knees to make him pay for any indiscretion he's ever had toward a woman, no matter who they are. Now that Lucca is in her life, Trina must dig deep to decide if he's the one that she'll finally let close enough to her and let the vendetta go once and for all.Such an incredible story, the characters were utterly fascinating to read about and well developed. Erin Noelle's writing style flows beautifully and her story commands your attention. I couldn't put the book down! I've not read anything else by this immensely talented Author but I plan to here in the very near future. I also can't wait to see her again in Chicago. I'm desperately hoping that she'll write Leo's story because there's one that begs to be told. Bravo Erin! Pick this one up ladies, you won't be disappointed. less
