review 1: So every book I've tried to read that has a Diana Gabaldon blurb on the cover? I have found it to be terrible. Which is sad. Danni is just... insipid. The prose is terrible. You'd think I'd like Sean, as I've a weakness for men with accents, and you'd be wrong. I spent far more time rewriting everything to make it sound better than I ever spent giving the remotest of fucks about the characters and plot. Which is why this is being listed RIGHT NOW on Paperback Swap. Also, I told my husband that their having sex is the key to traveling through time and space... and now he's not talking to me. WELP.
review 2: Reading this book was a struggle for me. I should start off by saying it wasn't bad. The writing was decent, the plot very interesting (but also very convo
... moreluted), the two main characters were likable, etc. There was so much that was way out of the realm of normal, though, that I had a hard time liking it. People traveling through time & interacting with themselves at a younger age? Changing the past using a book? Visions, dreams, dead people who aren't dead anymore... it was just way too abstract for me. It felt like homework trying to keep everything straight and figure it all out, and I didn't enjoy it. I will not be reading the next one! less

I couldn't put this book down. It was a mystery and a romance all rolled up into one.

So different from what I usually read, but I loved it!

Not nearly enough smut for a romance novel...
