review 1: Crawlspace is an entertaining novella that really kept me guessing as to where it was going. I thought for sure I had figured out the plot and then was quite surprised when it went a completely different direction. Some pretty disturbing imagery later in the story and I would have never guessed the ending. My only wish was that it was a little longer as some of the creepiest parts were only told in passing, I'd have liked to have witnessed some of the decision points that the protagonist had to make at some point. Well done Evans!
review 2: I loved this story. The descriptions in it were very vivid, and there were some amazing similes - 'It was darker than the devil's asshole' being a particular favourite. The story was well told and it evoked the claustrop... morehobia experienced by the main character brilliantly. I didn't see the twist coming and was impressed by the dark path this took the story down. Crawlspace was a fast read and I have already started 'Black Door' by the same author. Highly recommended. less
