review 1: Not bad for a first in a series. Nice premise and writing style make future books look promising. I enjoyed the snarkiness of Muriel and her ability to be true to herself. She's independent and wickedly good, which contrasts well with her sin-pushing father. Some of the best and laugh-out-loud scenes in the book are between Muriel and Lucifer.Muriel's love interest, Auric, is the standard alpha-ish male. Over-protective, mysterious, and secretive. Not bad, but not enough description for me to get worked up about. I really didn't connect with either character, mainly because they didn't seem well-developed/characterized. What I didn't like was the "insta-love" that occurred within a brief few days. Neither of the characters did anything to create that bond, it just...was. ... moreWill I read the next in the series? Probably.
review 2: ich fand die Charaktere zu oberflächlich. wobei ich gestehen muss,dass muriel noch als einzigste tiefe hatte. ihre Art war sehr erfrischend,denn sie war keine die sich ständig beschützen ließ sondern auch mal selbst kämpfte. mir hat auch die tiefe in der Beziehung zwischen muriel und Auric gefehlt. generell konnte ich nicht verstehen wie sie nach so kurzer zeit überzeugt waren,dass sie sich lieben. es war einfach zu schnell fur meine Verhältnisse. das einzige an ihrer Beziehung, dass mir gefiel war ihre Begegnung. man hat förmlich gespürt wie es zwischen ihnen gefunkt hat. die Welt die die Autorin geschaffen gefiel mir. es ist interessant. zwar nicht bis ins Datei erklärt,aber dies kann in dem folgenden band möglicherweise geschehen. less
