I love Jane. She is a strong, intelligent woman who speaks her mind. She bravely faces danger and is willing to embrace love. Aidan has many secrets but he cares for Jane with a tenderness that is moving. Both of these wounded people find solace and love w... moreith each other. The story is well plotted and is a combination of romance and mystery. The author has added many twists and turns that kept me guessing. It was such an exhilarating and exciting adventure. Eve Silver is an excellent author who makes her characters come alive. Dark Prince is a keeper.
review 2: I admit that I thought the cover of this book was a little cheesy (no offense to the gentlemen gracing the cover - I'm sure he is very nice). But it was on several gothic romance recommended reading lists so I checked it out. I was pleasantly surprised! The book is indeed very gothic. A young woman is indentured to a virile and mysterious man who may or may not be involved with smugglers. As the mystery of his involvement with her family and his nightly goings-on unfolds, the young heroine's love grows for her dark prince. It was an easy-going read with a few *gasps* along the way. A good read! less
