review 1: It didn't disappoint me. Just as interesting as the first one. A bit better because there is less world-building and more action. I loved both characters, Naphré and Alastor, and I also enjoyed the hints of Dagan and Roxy. I love it when characters whose story is already told keep showing up and evolving. The story gets more interesting in this book. I can't wait to start reading the next installment
review 2: I enjoyed this book so much! I really liked Naphre and Alastor together. I did think the ending was a bit rushed (and abrupt). The who and why of Lokan's murder is still just as much of a mystery as in book 1. There was a suggestion or inkling of just where Lokan might be and the question of who sent Naphre and Alastor there(Jigoku) was unresolved.

Alastor's story had a lot more action, for sure. I liked it a lot - very intense.
