review 1: I really liked the character of Brianna Sullivan, enjoyed her interaction with the lingering souls intent on getting her to do their final bidding, and the fact that Brianna names various inanimate objects in her life is a big plus (i.e. her 30 ft. mobile home is named Matilda, her television is Burt, her cell phone is Juliet, etc.). Great stories . . . quick and light with lots of dry humor, full of eccentric people (alive and dead). I'm so glad that I bought the book "I Try Not to Drive Past Cemeteries: The Ghosts of Lottawatah Mystery Series" by Evelyn David from Amazon (it contains #1 - #4 of The Brianna Sullivan Mysteries). I look forward to reading Book 2 of The Ghosts of Lottawatah Mystery Series, "A Haunting in Lottawatah"!
review 2: The book is fun fr
... moreom beginning to end. Brianna is the kind of woman every woman wants to be, smart, brave, funny and able to hear and see ghosts. What's not to like? The story is plausible and entertaining. I am not normally a fan of ghost stories. But this is very well written and the characters are well developed. The entire thing is quality from beginning to end. I would recommend you get this to enjoy during the summer, or any time at all. I liked the book well enough to interrupt my watching Olympic Trials and a Texas Ranger baseball game.....now that is a really good book. I am going to look for other Evelyn David books. And I know I will enjoy every single one of them. less
