review 1: Fun fun fun! (Until her daddy took the T-bird away ...) This book makes me smile. It's good, silly, goofy fun that communicates that giddy anxiety you feel living on your own for the first time. Superhero Girl juggles her job, fighting crime, love life, and hanging out with her friends. It's all very nice and polite and Canadian. None of that grim and gritty stuff here, no sir. This book is suitable for all ages without being condescending toward any of them.
review 2: I read this graphic novel as part of the 2014 Hub Reading Challenge and enjoyed introduction by Kurt Busiek. This was a funny look at a SuperHero Girl who doesn't have superhero powers like flying. She also doesn't have a tragic past and an arch nemesis. What she consistently has is the ... morewill to help others be it an old lady or battling monsters or ninjas. She has a roommate who has to help out once in a while and a brother who is a famous superhero, Kevin. Recommended read! less
