review 1: Meh. I like this series but I skim a lot because there's so much I don't care about. I don't get how Jane is suddenly a security specialist (aren't they usually ex cops or military with a ton of experience? Jane just screams bounty hunter to me). The so-called murder case seemed over complicated and it basically wrapped up on its own, so what was the point? Other than letting Rick play damsel in distress. Also pretty disappointed with Jane's teenaged whining when she suspects Rick is seeing someone as part of an undercover op. I'm not saying she has to like it, I just expected someone who'd spent a great deal of her life alone to be a bit more independent and a little less generic.
review 2: Another great read! In some ways, this series reminds me of Sookie
... more's story. All the different politics, the different male interests, the twists & turns of the mystery/suspense. There is always so much going on, but it's never overwhelming. I really love Jane & everything about her world. This series is quickly becoming one of my all time favorites, right up there with the Fever Series & Sookie Stackhouse! less

Keeps pace with the rest of the series. If you liked the first 2 this should be no different.
