review 1: Jane Yellowrock finds herself in over head once again as her cop boyfriend has disappeared while undercover at the same time she has too deal with the sudden appearance of were-animals (both cats and wolves), vastly complicating her job as enforcer for the Master vampire of New Orleans. Add in the strange behavior of Evangelina Everheart (witch sister of her friend Molly) and the reappearance of the "Mercy Blade", and Jane longs to move back to the mountains. But first she has a murder to solve, a traitor to uncover, and a boyfriend to retrieve. Plenty of action and character development makes this a good read. Waiting for the next volume to become available from the local library!
review 2: Again, I enjoyed Faith Hunter's fast-paced writing style. As a sh... moreort book this again goes too quickly but I'll keep reading the series once I finish Kim Harrison's "Undead Pool". I like where we are being led in this universe & think she's done a good job of telling a story & keeping us interested in what happens. No spoilers, but I will say good action & more interesting bits coming together to build her world. less
