review 1: I love dystopias, and this one may not be the most original, but memorable and even haunting. Only at the end I realised it must be an allegory as well (I was clearly too slow), and that added even more to my appreciation of it. Funny thing: I was reading it on the plane from New York to Dayton, and when an announcement sounded, I could not understand a single word of it (and not in the usual way). It just sounded like complete gibberish. Read it, and you will know why!
