review 1: Dear lord, what a mess! The questionable politics aside, what editor looked at this story with it's lazy, incoherent art, arbitrary coloring, and just plain horrible writing and said 'Looks great, Frank, I wouldn't change a thing!'?There are some interesting ideas here, but unfortunately Miller managed to bury them so deeply, under such a mountain of crap that they are pretty safe from discovery. The Fixer is an oddly compelling character, and the bizarre Dan Brown on acid plot, given to a less heavily medicated writer could have made for a fun read.An actual satire of over the top 'grim and gritty' comic book stories, and propaganda comics of the 40's, rather than the unintentional humor and Fox news level insight that we get.Frank, we aren't laughing with you, we are laug... morehing at you.and then shaking our heads, sadly, at the deluded hack you have become.
review 2: I never heard anything about that book, I saw it at the bookstore and just bought it. Should've read the reviews before. Everyone gives "Holy Terror" 1 or 2 stars and rightfully so. The story is uninspired and lame, the art-style looks like Miller drew this in two weeks... it's just overall poorly executed and nothing you would expect from a book with the name "Frank Miller" on it. Sadly this was a big disappointment and a waste of money and time. Though you don't need to spend much time, I read it in about 30 minutes. Definitely not worth the 30 Euros I spent for it. less

Frank Miller hasn't done anything worth a damn in a dozen years. This keeps that streak intact.
