review 1: I could have gone without the presence of BDSM in this book but apart from that it was somewhat enjoyable. I was a bit miffed with Theris's powers as Grim Reaper though. It was a bit disappointing...made him pretty weak in my opinion and I think it's the last thing someone wants to read about is a Grim Reaper as weak. The pregnancy thing was a let down as well. It's pretty much used everywhere nowadays and I always thought it's a cheap thing to do in a gay novel. It's always used as a fix to everything or to somehow claim the relationship as right with the miracle of a baby. I don't like it. Love is love and it doesn't need a rightness stamp.

A dark angel who is always cold and a djinn who is born of fire are not an ideal combination, but then, none of the couples in this series really are. With both of them having access to all kinds of magic, this was bound to be a fun story. Add a few surprise twists and this becomes a very entertaining book indeed.Theris has a tough job, and one that depresses him in many ways. Still, he has been called to do it, so he will do his best. When he meets Ryo and discovers there is more to life than what he's been doing for centuries, it opens his eyes to new possibilities. And in more than one area: once he gets a taste of how much fun submission can be with a partner he trusts, he cannot get enough!Ryo is a very powerful djinn with a family issue. Namely, his grandfather keeps butting into his life, trying to tell him what to do. He will have none of it, ignores the man's threats, and almost pays a very high price for it. Luckily, he has friends who can help.If you're looking for a light, entertaining read, if passion and laughter go well together for you, and if some hot angel-on-djinn action is what you're looking for, you will probably like this book. less
