review 1: Blaise Taylor, newly appointed alpha and hunter for the council, has a lot on his plate. He’s not gay but now he’s been given two male mates. Cole Cunningham didn’t think he was gay either, until he met Willow, one of his two mates. He won’t throw away a mate just because he comes in an unexpected package; mates are far too rare for that. Willow was imprisoned for years, now he just wants to be happy and free. He loves his mates, both of them, and wants them both to love him too. Willow has seduced Cole, the nurturing one, now his mission is to seduce Blaise, the protective one. He doesn’t intend to fail. Failure means losing his mate forever and he’s not going to do that. Softly Spoken Lies the fourth book in the Moonlight Breed series by Gabrielle Evan... mores brings love times three. I love this series; it has alpha wolves and lots of hot man love, my favorite thing to read. This one goes a little deeper and gives us three mates. I like that I get to have three times the loving and that each mate is so unique. I wanted to know more about them. Cole, the nurturer, is always trying to get Blaise to care and love him and Willow. Blaise, the alpha and protector, over-thinks things and ends up thinking his way out of having a mate, let alone two. And then there is mischievously devious Willow. I adore characters that are a little bratty and whole lot of sexy and Willow brings that out in spades. All together, the three mates make a whole package, which is really sweet and loving to read about. While this book is a part of a series, I feel it can be read on its own. I do recommend the entre Moonlight Breed series; they all have surprises for the reader and lots of loving to keep you warm.
review 2: I enjoyed this book in the series...possibly not as much as the third book, but I am really enjoying this series. I thought that at times the writing of the characters was a bit uneven in progressing their relationship. I really liked Willow, he was probably my favorite in their relationship and how he wanted to make it work. I'm glad Blaise came to his senses and accepted having men as mates! And I look forward to the next book in this series, I hope there will be more! less
