review 1: Two friends are going to put on a play. It is really neat how the author gives each character a different personality and different ways to express their feelings. These two characters remind me of my kids, one hides shyly behind me and the other smiles and jumps into the action. The book shows that even though these characters are different and express things in different ways, they can still be good friends. All three of us thought that the little frog taking part in the tale off to the side was just adorable and silly. I love the plain and colorful illustrations, which are just detailed and colorful enough to attract attention, but not overtake the story.
review 2: Filled with attractive mixed media illustrations, this picture book reminds readers that frien... moreds don't have to be exactly alike. In fact, as in the case of the pig and bunny who are friends in this book, they can be very, very different. The text and illustrations show their different ways of handling stress or dealing with challenging situations. In the end, though, compromise and mutual respect keep their friendship intact. This title is great for sharing with others so that they realize no one gets to have things his/her own way every time. less
