review 1: I won this book in a giveaway from the author & omg am i glad i did!! I was hooked from start to finish. The Cross Of Sins has everything you could want in a good book, Action, adventure, hot guys & some rather steamy gay sex ( not for the faint-hearted lol).I will definitely be buying the rest of this series & if they are anywhere near as action-packed as this one then it will be money well spent!Oh and one last thing.....This is not my usual genre of reading which is why i'm so shocked at how awesome it is! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS!!!!!!!
review 2: Wow, jam packed with a roller coaster ride of action/adventure! I loved this book. It was very different from what I expected. I agree with some of the other reviewers about the storyline being kind of an Indi... moreana Jones stars in the Da Vinci Code premise. The author did a fantastic job of providing very vivid descriptions to make the action sequences come to life. I was hooked and had a hard time putting the book down. Some parts of the story are just a bit over the top, but no more so than what you would see in a movie of this type. This is definitely not a romance novel. It’s really an awesome action/adventure story that happens to star five incredibly hot gay men in the leading roles as Fathom’s Five. I went into the book thinking there would be lots of sex going on between the main characters (Jake, Eden, Will, Luca and Shane). I was wrong. Most of the action takes place between a main character and a secondary character. One of the main characters doesn’t get any action at all and there’s only one scene between two of Fathom’s Five. I’m holding out hope that the sequels might bring more development in terms of the relationships among the Five other than being united in a cause, and I will definitely be reading the rest of the series!This book was picked for me in a reading challenge. It’s my first introduction to this author and I couldn’t be more thrilled for the discovery. I’d definitely recommend this book to anyone seeking a great action story that will keep you burning up the pages. Beyond this series, I’ll be checking out more work by this author! less
