review 1: This book was recommended to me by Amazon. I was expecting another great shifter romance, unfortunately there wasn't much romance at all. While cleverly written it is more like a YA story aside from the explicit sex. I liked Pixie's fiery character and her endless clever one-liners. I wished Dominick would have been a stronger character. Pixie drove the story. The plot was outrageous. It was supposed to be a stand alone story ... maybe I would have appreciated it more if I had read the first in the series first?
review 2: Oh I knew this was coming for a long time coming, "she glanced over Dominick, who'd gone back to human form but was glaring at Fraser with murder in his eyes. "And he is not my lover boy." Dominick that boy is just not sensitive when it comes
... moreto Pixie, "you better be," he growled. "If you cry, I'm going to have to smack you around some, and you might like it too much." But at the same time the boy can be needy especially after doing the naughty, "Dominick rolled on his side and pulled her up against him, wrapping his arms around her. She pressed into his warmth, and strength, for a brief moment, wanting to stay there forever, and then started to pull away. He pulled her back, his arms tightening. "Don't leave me," he growled into her ear." And he's protective of his woman, "Dominick let out a warning growl, and fur ripped on his face. "Touch her, and you will die," he snarled, moving in front of Ion." I think these books keep getting shorter and that really upsets me because I love this damn series. less
