review 1: I'm just not sure how to review this book. I liked it, but not as much as I was hoping. I like the storyline I just think something was lacking. Curry is super sweet, and deserves to have his love. I loved parts of this book, and see so much potential, maybe I'm just used to a little more rawness. Not sure, may or may not get next book. There is def something to it that may drawl me back in. Hopefully next book would be meatier. :)
review 2: Curry was turned against his will and held captive for 139 years. It is at this point where he attempts to take his own life and meet the true death that his story begins. ... morer a vampire. I've taken a step away from vampires lately as they all seem to have become formulaic, but this is a bit different. I say a bit since the world building / mythology is different and it's written from the male / vampires perspective. While many elements seem to follow the formula of YA paranormal romance, the differences, albeit small ones, make the read worth it. The characters are engaging and endearing, the dialogue is not as contrived as one would expect, and the plot is paced well. less

Not your average Vampire story. Love every minute of it. Can't wait to get book #2.

The first half of the book was interesting but it got a little boring at the end.

I thought this was entertaining. Very similar to twilight though.
