review 1: I quite like the setting of this story and really want it to be good but until this book it's all mostly dull.Not much action, no romance. One of the MC's lost most of his memory and the second one just accepted to become a fighting monk to a foreign religion after learning their language in just a few months.Looks the all the characters just live as things happen - with no goal, vision or ambition. Understandable given the cirstumstances but not really exciting either.
review 2: Gawd... I am so confused.. I thought Kyle landed in the same time period as John.. wasn't Kyle the one that left the imprints that John chased to the burning village in book 1?So far the books have been good, interesting but utterly confusing at the same time. I find myself reading the... more books in hope for seeing Kyle/John get together at the sametime just be able to figure the whole puzzle out. (well I have theories, but i need confirmation! :p) less
