review 1: A little disappointed with The Books of Murgen. As Croaker pointed out in She Is The Darkness they were mostly about him and his dreams. While dream walking was interesting, it was too drawn out. I think the explanation of the dreams should have been less. On the plus side, there was a lot of action in this one and betrayals you didn't see coming. All in all these two books were ok but not as good as the previous ones.
review 2: It was about time for the mass murdering lady and her lapdog croaker to die. I was disappointed immensely by the fact they are still live and kicking. Bamboo sticks against long shadow soulcatcher and howlers powers? Really?? Getting her powers back after her true name has been called, and White rose to die, really? Not funny. I guess
... moreI will keep fast reading to the point where the married couple dies at last, not freezes in time for recycling at later time, and some new and exciting figures to show up. In fact the black company series books were okay until the company arrives in taglios. After that it stops being interesting and when croaker does not betray the lady and later starts ramboing everyone who oppose him and lady with ease, actually starts to be corny and therefore irritating. less
