review 1: I read this book last year and what I can recall is a girl named Kate that moves in with her father. Actually, I believe, it was more of a surprise because she shows up at his door unexpectedly. Anyway, he doesn't want her there, but she is a very persistent girl. She, like her father, is an artist. It isn't an easy relationship between the two, but eventually finds a common ground together. I have to say it was a great read that I believe people can relate to.
review 2: I was lent this book by a friend who won it in one of the Goodreads giveaways. It is a YA book but I found the story interesting and heartwarming in different ways. The main character wins a scholarship to art school. Her reclusive artist father, whom she hasn't seen in 10 years and who is dyin
... moreg, lives in the same town as the college. She decides to move in with him because she cannot afford dorm living. There are many ups & downs in their relationship. She makes friends at art school, who help give her life some balance and emotional support. I think that it had a satisfying ending and I was happy with the way that things turned out. It was a very quick read. less
