review 1: Given the topic of this book, I wish I could give an epic review. But this will have to do. I was pleased that a lot of this book is more about presenting various points of view - - mainly reasons why people are angry with the changes at Goodreads - - and allows the reader a lot of leeway to think and come up with his or her own opinion. Freedom of speech is not an easy topic. There is no easy answer as to where, or if, a line should be drawn. But the most important thing is that there is dialogue, questioning, and discussion. This book had that, which is what gives it value. I'm not sure where exactly I sit on the issue, but the book has definitely made me think. And that in itself is important.
review 2: This book was really the first I knew of what w
... moreas all going on with this on Goodreads. I can't say that I'm particularly suprised by what I learned, or that I have any solutions. I did learn quite a bit from this book, however. I understand that this book is presented by a particular side in the debate, but it is a side that I might not have been able to listen to as thoroughly and comprehensively as I was able to do. I don't know what will happen long term on this issue, but it was good that I was at least able to find out this much. less

Mostly skimmed it. The 'test the waters' reviews are fun to read.
