review 1: I got this book at my company's used book charity book sale, just a random thing I picked up. It's an adventure action book about a team sent by a government agency that goes to the amazon to study a possible mayan temple with a secret that could change everything. while there, they face lots of scary things including a rival team and some supernatural type things. This book reminded me of a movie, lots of action, pretty interesting when it's in the jungle, not as interesting when we're in washington. the ending was very imaginative, once we find out what we're dealing with. It wasn't a spectacular book, but pretty good. It's what it was, a read it if you come across it but don't go out of your way.
review 2: This is the first book I read by Graham Brown, but h
... moreave read his collaborations with Clive Cussler which I really enjoy, so I started to read this in anticipation. It is a well written and researched book based on Mayen myths, conspiracies, covert government agencies. Set in the Amazon with opposing teams looking for a mythical object that could change the world, loads of action with some interesting if far fetched ideas. I enjoyed this story although it was slow going in places, would I read the follow up ... Yes I would less

What's to say beyond a fantastic adventure read your going to want to re-read over and over again.

Not a bad book but the explanation as to why things are happening left me disappointed.
