review 1: This book is a very cute story but did nothing for me other than show me a cute story. I do believe children would love this story because of the pictures but I do not think that the message is all that relative to readers. You can find out for yourself by reading. I did very much so enjoy Greg Pizzoli's illustrations though. He did a great job of showing me and others the story through pictures as well as words. You can clearly see the mood and tone of the story through the illustrations and characters that were chosen to represent the story!

The animation takes the reader through multiple scenarios of the "wild possibilities". This is a great book to read to younger children as most of them has had fears of the consequences of swallowing a watermelon seed. The theme of this book is fear. Teachers could use this book to incorporate art into a lesson plan. The teacher could buy an actual watermelon because some students might not have had the experience of seeing or tasting one. The teacher could draw a watermelon on the board then have students create their own watermelon. The supplies needed for this is different colors of tissue paper. Another creative lesson plan is having the students draw their fear and have students share with each other. less
