review 1: I rated this book five stars because even though it was outside my genre, I ended up loving this thrilling page-turner. This is a story of three normal high-schoolers from Hidden Hills who all get a summer job at the new pizza place, killer pizza! In the pizza parlor they all start to become very acquainted with each other, friends even, and are offered the chance of a life time, to become Monster Containment Officers! M.C.O for short. Toby, Annabel, and Strobe go through vigorous training exercises and countless hours of testing, all to become M.C.O’s . This is where the adventure and thrill starts! They start to use whatthey learned in the classroom and are fighting the hideous, Gutatta! They end an epic battle that’s been going on for a while, between human, and mo... morenster. Human coming out on top. I honestly thought this book was great and I would gladly read it again. It had just the right amount of horror and thrill for my liking. It was also a decent sized book, I finished it in a few days. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes sci-fi, horror, or fiction monster type books. Through all the training and testing and fighting, the three M.C.O’s become stay true friends with a few cuts and bruises.
review 2: Toby has a dream of becoming a chef. When he gets a job at Killer Pizza, he is really excited. His excitement turns to shock, when he finds out Killer Pizza is a monster hunting organization. Toby hesitates at first to join the monster-hunting side of Killer Pizza, but he eventually joins. In is book they are mostly fighting the Guttata, a gargoyle-like breed of monster. They have to kill the alpha Guttata to kill the pack.This book was great. I didn't think it would be that good, but I loved it! less
