review 1: 3.5 stars. This is the first novel I've read by this author. I thought the pacing was nice, but as the story unfolded it became more and more "out there". Patrick is a likable character, but I found it unbelievable that his friends would have the exact knowledge and connections to help him unravel the mystery surrounding his frame up. I liked the relationships he had, but maybe everything was a little too tied up into a pretty bow at the end.
review 2: I found the plot interesting and decided to read this book and was not disappointed . A good plot and a fast paced thriller and this author Gregg Hurwitz added to my regularly read author list.Pat Davis just wants to make movies. His dream comes true when he sells his screenplay. But that sets of a chain of event... mores that will change his life and relationships and nothing will ever be the same again. His marriage is on the rocks.He starts getting DVD on his doorstep which are chilling. Somebody is watching him in his house. He does not know what is happening and why. At first he thinks it is a prank but soon realises that it is much bigger than that. He finds out that they are surveillance equipment all over his house. He is forced to set up email accounts or else is threatened to be harmed and sent all over town on strange errands. He mind compels him to follow what is asked of him . Who is after him and why? In this fast paced thriller Davis gets deeper into trouble and he wonders if there is a way out.! less
