review 1: This book surprised me. Now and again I'll hop on twitter and randomly read a book that flies by on my feed. That's how I came by this book. I don't know G.S. Wright, but what the heck. I took a chance and was well rewarded. Wright takes the reader into a future where children are just another...wait,I don't want to spoil it. This could have been a very shallow book with characters that were flat and undeveloped, but Wright gives heart to mechanics and, a soul to those whose soul we rarely think about, and gives us a very frightening look at how we've come to see, and treat, our children. It's a chilling read that still haunts me, and I look forward to more from this author.

This book will make you think. And if you like to read at night, you just might want to turn an extra light on because there are some intense moments that will get your heart pumping. I highly recommend Broken Things for all sci-fi fans. It’s a must-read book that you won’t soon forget. less
