review 1: Liked this book even more than the first one. Only one four letter word used (d$) and one use of "My God" as I remember. As a parent I want to know those types of things when looking for books for my kids to read. No sexual references either (thank you to the author). Typical boy/girl infatuation scenario. Not sure what happens in the final book, but there hasn't been any kissing or otherwise so far. Author doesn't get sidetracked with that, he really sticks to the main storyline which is fast paced. Love how he uses history in this series. It would be a great way to teach reading & history/social studies in the same way The Lightning Thief can be used to teach reading and Greek mythology. Anxious to see how the series concludes in the final book.
