Review:Teresa Hamilton is having a rough year—she’s in love with her big brother’s best friend, but he hasn’t spoken to her since they shared a truly amazing, mind-blowing, change-your-life kiss. She got out of a terrible relationship. And now an injury is threatening to end her dance career for good. It’s time for Plan B – college. And maybe a chance to convince Jase that what they have together is real.
Jase Winstead has a huge secret that he’s not telling anyone. Especially not his best friend’s incredibly beautiful sister. Even though he and Teresa shared the hottest kiss of his life, he knows that his responsibilities must take priority. He certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. But it doesn’t help that all he can think about kissing the one girl who could ruin everything for him.
As they’re thrown together more and more, Jase and Tess can’t keep denying their feelings for each other. But a familiar danger looms and tragedy strikes. As the campus recovers, the star-crossed couple must decide what they’re willing to risk to be together, and what they’re willing to lose if they’re not…
You know, I’ve tried staying away from you. I’ve tried ignoring how I feel about you, which isn’t how I should feel. But it’s like fighting a losing battle. And I don’t want to fight it anymore. I don’t want to ignore this.
Ahhh! This book is too freakin’ cute — just like the previous one. In this companion novel, it surrounds the relationship between Teresa (aka Cam’s baby sister) and Jase (aka Cam’s bff). You know how that’s going to go. It’s the typical love story, with the younger sister falling for the older brother’s best friend and you know what? I don’t care. It was still hella cute and enjoyable. We meet these two in the first book but don’t really get to know them. You know a little more about them in Cam’s point of view but again, not the full story — especially since they kept things from Cam. Anyway, I really loved the tension between the two because it’s obvious that they care for each other. At the same time, they really respect Cam, which was nice to see as well.
I want to take you out on a date. I want to take you horseback riding. I want to tell your brother. I want to take you home to my parents and introduce you as my girlfriend. I want to prove this means more to me. I want to do this the right way
UGHNNNHHH … Jase is perfect, even though he doesn’t think so. He’s very strong and smart and dedicated. Without spoiling his big twist, he made a mistake in the past but I love that he’s doing everything that he can to right it and make the situation better. That’s what really counts. I honestly saw the twist a mile a way but again I don’t care haha. Teresa! I loved Teresa! She is kind of the opposite of Avery (not that there was anything wrong with Avery). She was out there and making friends. She was really focused on getting back to her dancing. She was inspirational! It was really nice reading about her healing process and just starting a new chapter in her life after the abusive relationship that she was in. She’s fierce and stronger and deserves Jase.
Don’t worry friends, you’ll read cameo appearances of Cam and Avery! Just what I wanted! They are too, too cute! I absolutely love that we are still getting updates on their relationship and I can’t wait to read the rest of the companion books in the series! JLA does it again guys. I’m really scared that one day I’ll read a book of hers and not love it. I seriously dread that day. But I can honestly say that Be With Me is a book that I can see myself rereading in the future, especially if I want to read something cute!
