review 1: Loved it! Hannah's prose is just a delight to read, the story swept me along, and the images of the landscape and the lives of her characters leapt out of the pages. this book is a masterpiece, and her first novel! This is one of those books you don't want to finish, I am loathe to pick up another book as I am suffering from withdrawal symptoms and I just know the next book will be a disappointment after this one.
review 2: I thought that this was an incredibly sad story of a woman who was executed for a crime that she was not even responsible for. It is a tragedy that an event like this could happen!! Hannah Kent did a wonderful job in writing this fictional novel and telling the story of this woman. I was really drawn into the story and had a hard time in ... moreputting the book down.
